We are lucky enough to have a really fantastic team here at Artisans & Adventurers, and we thought it was time you got to know everyone a little bit better! Today we are getting to know Nicola...
What is your role with A&A and how long have you been part of the team?
I am fairly new to the team - joining about 3 months ago. I first started managing the wholesale of Artisans & Adventurers and our sister brand, Hiro + Wolf, and have recently become the Online Merchandising Manager as well.
Tell us 3 fun facts about you!
- I lived in Zimbabwe as a child - I basically lived outside exploring, searching for critters and climbing trees.
- I have loved Artisans & Adventurers since my first visit - so this is literally my dream job!
- I love yoga - which I have been practising for the past 4 years.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My parents are probably my biggest inspiration - they've always been so supportive as well as always encouraging me to be creative and thoughtful.
What is your dream travel destination?
I would love to visit Madagascar - I'm a big animal lover and would love to see all of the unique indigenous wildlife!
What is your favourite A&A product & why?
My favourite products are definitely the Kenyan Sisal Baskets, I love that each of them are unique and versatile.
What 1 piece of advice would you give to help others live more sustainably / ethically?
I try not to impulse buy - when I do shop I try and think about the item / products life from production to disposal and it's impact it will have on the people making it and on the environment and wildlife.
