It's one of our very favourite days of the year — and this year it turns eight. AARVEN, Hiro + Wolf and businesses right across Margate and Cliftonville are joining forces once again for our annual Spooky Saturday Halloween treat trail.
🎃 Saturday 31st October · 1pm to 4pm 🎃
Get the little ones into their Halloween best and follow the treat trail around town, collecting goodies from dozens of taking-part shops, cafés and businesses along the way. Last year we had over 60 treat stops and raised more than £1,200 and this year is set to be bigger still.
All proceeds go to building the Margate RNLI's new lifeboat station. After nearly 50 years, Margate's much-loved station, right next to the Turner Contemporary, has reached the end of its working life, and the RNLI is building a modern replacement to keep our volunteer crews saving lives off the Kent coast for generations to come. Every penny we raise from this event goes directly to that appeal.
How it works
- Wristbands are £5 per child, available now from AARVEN on King Street
- Follow the treat trail map around Margate & Cliftonville, 1–4pm
- Collect treats from 60+ taking-part stops across town
- Numbers are limited — we sold out last year, so don't leave it too late!
And at 4pm… the dog parade 🐾
To round off the afternoon, our much-loved Halloween dog costume parade returns at 4pm, hosted alongside our sister brand Hiro + Wolf. Expect tiny pumpkins, caped crusaders and a whole lot of very good boys and girls in fancy dress. This year's parade will gather at [LOCATION TBC — central Margate]. All welcome, whether you're strutting or just there to coo.
