Of everything we make, our paper light shades might be the pieces we're asked about most. They transform a room the moment the light goes on and once people see one in person, they tend to want two or three!

Every shade is made from FSC-certified recycled paper by Mohit and his team in their Sedex-certified workshop in Jaipur, India, artisans we've worked closely with for seven years. 4. Original linocut designs you won't find anywhere else
Every pattern begins as a hand-drawn linocut by our founder Amy, then is screen-printed onto the paper by hand. That means the prints are exclusive to AARVEN — you won't find them on any other shade, anywhere.
5. They come beautifully boxed
Each shade arrives flat-packed in its own beautifully designed box, which makes it not only easy to store but a genuinely lovely gift. They're one of our most popular housewarming and new-home presents for exactly that reason.
6. They look even better grouped together
One shade is lovely. Three or four, in different sizes and prints, hung at varying heights, are something special. Grouped together they create a real focal point, over a stairwell, a dining table, or a hallway and because they're so light, they're easy to hang in a cluster.
