Bring natural texture and artisan craftsmanship into your home with AARVEN's 'Green Geo' laundry basket — a lidded, handled basket handwoven in Ghana, in a fresh green geometric pattern inspired by West Africa.

Handwoven from durable veta vera (elephant grass) using traditional techniques passed down through generations, using eco-friendly natural materials and dyes. As practical as it is beautiful, with a lid to keep contents out of sight.

Who made your basket?

Handwoven by artisans based in the Upper East Region of Ghana, near the Burkina Faso border, using veta vera which grows abundantly in this hot, dry area. The co-operative is led by Agana, who works closely with the weavers.

Care

May arrive slightly out of shape — bring it back to life with a quick steam (steamer or iron on the steam setting), then manually reshape while warm; take care, as the straw can get hot. Wipe clean with a damp cloth, blot with a dry towel, and leave to air dry naturally. Keep out of direct sunlight, which can fade the colours.
