What a day! On Saturday, Margate and Cliftonville pulled on their costumes, grabbed their wristbands and took to the streets for our annual Spooky Saturday Halloween treat trail and together, we raised an incredible £1,817.15 for the Margate RNLI's new lifeboat station.

We are so proud of this little community of ours. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who took part.
The day in numbers
- 361 wristbands sold — our biggest year yet!
- £1,817.15 raised, up from over £1,200 last year
- 64 local businesses across Margate and Cliftonville handing out treats
- A dozen dogs in fancy dress
- A whole town in fancy dress and not a drop of rain

Every penny to the lifeboat station
All the money raised goes directly to building the Margate RNLI's new lifeboat station. After nearly 50 years, Margate's much-loved station, right next to the Turner Contemporary, is being rebuilt to keep our volunteer crews saving lives off the Kent coast for generations to come. Knowing our silly, joyful day out helps fund something so important makes it all the more special.
A thank you to Margate
An event like this only works because so many people give their time and energy to it. A huge thank you to every shop, café, gallery and venue that joined the trail and welcomed our little ghosts and goblins through the door. Thank you to the RNLI. And most of all, thank you to the families who dressed up, turned up, and made the whole town feel like one big, brilliant Halloween party.
Eight years in, and Spooky Saturday just keeps getting better — because of you.
Same time next year? 👻
