Indian Gamhar Wooden Utensil Collection

Gamhar wood, also known as Gmelina wood, is a versatile and durable hardwood prized for its attractive appearance and workability. It is a fast-growing tree, native to Southeast Asia. Our latest wooden utensil collection is made using this beautiful wood by Silence. Silence is a non-profit organisation in India who provide reliable income for disabled artisan employees. Silence is a Guaranteed Member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO).

African Blackwood Collection

From East Africa, African blackwood, a dense and durable wood, is a premium material for crafting high-quality wooden utensils. While it's primarily known for musical instruments, its fine texture, lustrous finish, and resistance to wear and moisture make it ideal for items like spoons, spatulas, and serving utensils. Hand carved in a Nairobi workshop run by one of the founders of the popular Maasai Market in Westlands, Zephania.
