The Dragonflies design is a personal one — Amy drew it inspired by the dragonflies that cross her garden in summer. It's been one of AARVEN's signature patterns ever since, appearing on cushions, pouches, wrapping paper and now, most beautifully, as a light shade.
Made by Mohit's team in Jaipur, where three floors of artisans craft exquisite paper goods in a Sedex-certified workshop. Each shade is hand-screen-printed onto FSC-certified recycled paper and folded by hand into its globe form. Amy works directly with Nishant on colour mixing when she visits, which is why the Dragonflies palette always feels so considered.
The globe shape is the more classic of the two silhouettes, at 38cm wide it casts a soft pool of warm light. It works well in a bedroom, reading corner or above a dining table. Particularly beautiful when grouped in pairs or threes on a multi-pendant fitting.
The hand-printed story box it arrives in makes this one of our most-loved housewarming gifts, telling the story of Mohit's workshop before the shade is even unfolded.
