Meet the Aarven Team

	Amy \| Director & Designer Every piece in our collection begins as an idea, and every one of those ideas begins with Amy. As Director and Designer, she creatively directs and designs the entire AARVEN collection — working closely with our skilled artisans to bring each original design to life, from first sketch to finished piece. Life between the Northern Irish countryside and the Margate coast keeps things interesting, and both landscapes have a way of finding their way into her work. When she's not collaborating across continents, you'll find her drawing in the garden with rescue kitten Kumo curled on her lap, tending to her vegetable patch, or swimming along the coast with her young son in tow — always with her next design quietly taking shape in the back of her mind.
	Natalie \| Margate Store Manager Keeping customers happy and running our Margate store is no small feat — but Natalie does it all with a warm and welcoming smile. A devoted dog lover, she makes a big fuss over every four-legged visitor that comes through the door, and at home she's kept on her toes by her rescue dog Del. When she's off the clock, you'll find her camera in hand, exploring Kent's wildlife parks in search of the perfect shot.
	Valerie \| Account Executive Some team members feel like they were always meant to be here — and Valerie is proof of that. You might recognise her from her days modelling for our sister brand Hiro + Wolf, and we're so glad that collab had a rather permanent ending. As our Wholesale Manager, she brings the same effortless professionalism to every partnership she nurtures. When she's not doing deals, she's doing dog mum duties for the utterly adorable Bobbi — who, we're thrilled to say, is every bit as much a part of the team.
	Alex \| Resident Storyteller If you've ever left our store knowing far more about the story behind your purchase than you expected to, you've probably met Alex. Charismatic, charming, and genuinely passionate about the makers behind our products, he has a gift for bringing artisan stories to life. Off duty, you'll find him at yoga, lending a hand at the community gardens, or cuddling rescue kittens — because of course he does.
	Godwin \| Artisan Lead, Ghana Behind every beautifully crafted piece that makes its way from Ghana to our shelves is a great deal of skill, care, and coordination — and at the heart of it all is Godwin. With many years of experience in craft development, he manages our relationships with artisans across Ghana, bridging language barriers, translating our designs into reality, and ensuring every piece meets the quality our customers love. A vital link between two worlds, his expertise and dedication are woven into everything we make. When he's not keeping things running seamlessly across the country, he's at home in Accra with his wife and two young children.
	Freddy \| Cabinet Maker & Creative Collaborator Much of what you see when you walk into one of our stores or visit us at a trade show was built by Freddy's hands. A cabinet maker and true polymath, he works quietly behind the scenes designing and building every store fit-out and trade show stand — bringing Amy's creative vision into the physical world with skill and precision. He also serves as her most trusted sounding board, a role he carries out with characteristic patience and good humour. When he's not in the workshop, Freddy can be found at the Aga perfecting his latest recipe, deep in the pages of ancient philosophy, or steadily working his way towards Japanese fluency. We're not entirely sure how he fits it all in — but we're very glad he does.
	Irene \| Production & Quality Control Kenya Irene is our rock in Kenya. She has been part of our business since 2015 and is our woman on the ground. Irene works closely with our jewellery makers and is involved in the whole production process from delivering our designs to the artisans to quality control and packing and shipping the items back to us. We couldn't do it without her!
	Bee \| Co-Founder 2013-2024 We waved 'bon voyage' to our co-founder, Bee, at the end of 2024. Bee's dedication to sourcing the best artisan crafts from rural communities across Africa provided the building blocks for AARVEN. We are excited to keep up with her travels around the globe as she continues on her own adventure. Thank you Bee!
