Jaipur Hand Painted Indian Soap Dish 'Coral'

A colourful ceramic soap dish with two drainage holes, making soggy soap a thing of the past. Exclusive to AARVEN, the Coral design was drawn by us, inspired by our shop's seaside home in Margate.

Expertly crafted by artisans in Jaipur using traditional Blue Pottery methods passed down over ten generations. Each dish is a little different, giving it that beautiful human touch.

Who made your soap dish?

AARVEN's pottery comes from a long line of artisans specialising in Blue Pottery, which originates from the Rajasthani region of India. This family business, now in its 10th generation, is dedicated to preserving traditional craft whilst developing increasingly modern designs.

The detail:

• Indian frit — quartz stone powder, powdered glass, tragacanth gum, saji, fuller's earth clay and water, rather than traditional stoneware clay, then low fired to bind the ingredients
• 13cm x 9.5cm x 3.5cm approximately
• Hand painted and glazed; every piece varies slightly

Care

Gently hand wash with warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth.
