Authentic Kantha Indian single sized quilt. Meticulously constructed, each Kantha quilt was individually hand stitched with an outstanding amount of effort and time. It is an ancient technique mastered throughout the generations, originating from India and dated back to the pre-Vedic age (pre-1500 BCE).

Each quilt is reversible and comes packaged in its own drawstring bolster bag. These quilts are cool to sleep beneath in summer months, provide additional warmth in the winter, and make perfect throws for sofas.

Aiding to keep the cultural crafting technique alive, we collaborate with our team of talented artisans in Jaipur to create exclusive, contemporary designs.

Refreshing and bright coral reef pattern. Inspired by our love of the Margate coastline, which is where our store is based.

In Jaipur, the bustling capital of India’s Rajasthan state, sits a family-owned textiles factory where our Indian Block Printed Textiles are made.

Meenu, the owner of the factory, founded her business in 1993 and is dedicated to the preservation of the local art of hand block printing. The factory employs local artisans and also offers training to people living more rurally.

Materials: 100% Indian Cotton, Natural dyes.

Sizing: Single Size 150cm x 200 cm

Our Indian block printed textiles are made using 100% Indian cotton and chemical free dyes. They can be machine washed on your coolest cycle (30 degrees and below). The cotton will become softer with every wash.

Always wash with similar colours and iron on a medium heat. 

They are not suitable for tumble drying or dry cleaning, please leave your textiles to dry naturally.   

Avoid placing them in direct sunlight as this may cause the dye to fade slightly.
