Indian Kantha Quilt 'Kingfisher'
Pickup available at MARGATE
Usually ready in 24 hours
Authentic ‘Kingfisher’ Indian Kantha quilt. Meticulously constructed, each Kantha quilt is individually hand stitched with an outstanding amount of effort and time. This vibrant watercolour paint-style print depicts flying kingfisher birds, dragonflies, plants, and ornate patterns. Using the traditional Indian colour palette, the beautiful contrast of pink, yellow, and green makes for a stunning statement for your bedroom.
Each quilt is reversible and comes packaged in its own bolster drawstring bag. These quilts are cool to sleep beneath in summer months, provide additional warmth in the winter, and make cosy throws for sofas. The quilt is available in two sizes.
Block printing is an ancient technique mastered throughout the generations, originating from India and dated back to the pre-Vedic age (pre-1500 BCE).
Aiding to keep the cultural crafting technique alive, we collaborate with our team of talented artisans to create exclusive, contemporary designs. Co-founder Amy hand-illustrated the design in a colourful palette reminiscent of Indian summers.
Inspired by Amy's love of gardening, and the dragonflies which dance across her pond in the summer months.

CARE
Our Indian block printed textiles are made using 100% Indian cotton and chemical free dyes. They can be machine washed on your coolest cycle (30 degrees and below). The cotton will become softer with every wash.
Always wash with similar colours and iron on a medium heat.
They are not suitable for tumble drying or dry cleaning, please leave your textiles to dry naturally.
Avoid placing them in direct sunlight as this may cause the dye to fade slightly.
