At AARVEN, we're thrilled to share the inspiring story behind our stunning door mats, which are crafted with care by a small collective in Tanzania, East Africa. Founded in 1991 by a group of remarkable women, this NGO is registered under the Societies Act of Tanzania and recognised as a vocational training centre by VEGA. Through workshops in tailoring, textiles, and sisal weaving, students learn valuable skills and create livelihoods for themselves. Our door mats are woven by Emmanual, the workshop leader, and each one is a unique piece of art. For deeper cleaning, use a soft-bristled brush and mild soap mixed with water to gently scrub the mat. Lightly sponge off any residue soap with water and allow to air dry completely before using again. Avoid exposing the mat to excessive moisture or sunlight, which can cause it to deteriorate.
